Title: Early Steps to School Success (ESSS) Coordinator
The Early Steps Coordinator position is a full time position- 40 hours per week, twelve month contract.
Desired Qualifications:

  • High School required; Associate degree or higher in related field a plus.
  • Competency with computers including experience with Windows and the use of Internet.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and non judgmental individual who is eager to work with pregnant women, children ages birth to five, and families in local area.
  • Experience in home visiting, leading parent groups, early childhood education
  • Energetic, motivated, creative, and able to work independently
  • Available and reliable vehicle for visiting families (mileage will be reimbursed)

  • Reports to: Save the Children

    Duties:
  • Work with families to help better ensure children are ready to enter Pre-K or kindergarten.
  • Identify and recruit families and children ages birth to five into the program.
  • Develop and schedule program activities, including home visiting, parent/child groups, toddler play groups, transition to school activities, and other programmatic activities.
  • Coordinate with program partners, local schools, and other community agencies in implementing Early Steps.
