Annual Title I Parent Meetings

Each elementary school has an annual Title I meeting.  You will receive a letter informing you when the meeting will be held at your child's / children's school.  As these meetings become known, they will also be announced here.  Please make plans to attend if at all possible.  This meeting will provide you with an opportunity to learn about our Title I program.  Also, policies, procedures, and curriculum that your child will be required to follow and study will be discussed.  This meeting is also another opportunity for the school to get information from parents about what they would like to see included in the school program.

Ways Busy Parents Can Help Children Succeed in School

From the time a child is born until he or she reaches the age of 18, eighty-five percent of their waking hours are spent away from school, primarily with their parents. However in today's fast paced society, it is increasingly becoming more difficult for parents to find time to spend with their children. Research has shown that parental involvement in children’s learning is a critical link in helping develop a child’s academic skills. In an effort to help parents figure out ways to find more time to help their children learn, Gary Holt, parent involvement coordinator, will be presenting the program
"Ways Busy Parents Can Help Children Succeed in School"  at our elementary schools.

Program schedules will be listed as they become available.

"Positive Solutions for Families"
(For the Parents of Pre-K through 4th Grade Students)

At times, all children exhibit behavior that can be difficult to deal with. “Positive Solutions for Families” is an evidence based, easy method, to help parents deal with the challenging behaviors that children sometimes have.

Funding for this program has been cut and we are currently working to find other sources to present this program.
