1st Priority
Scholoars Bowl
Math Jamboree is sponsored by Brenda Edwards.  The students participation in the Math Jamboree are selected from 5th and 6th grades.  Students are selected by using their TCAP scores from the previous year and also from their efforts shown in math class.  The students are committed to learning math skills so they can compete in a county-wide competition sometime in the spring.  These students stay one day a week after school, usually beginning around the first of October, and drill on math skills.  Cosby Elementary  has been successful in winning the past three years.  We are really proud of the students for giving up their time to practice and hope we continue to do well at the competitions.  We have some great math students in grades 3, 4, and 5 who are very capable in math and are looking forward to taking the place of those students who have completed in the past

Junior Beta Club is a group of students who have a GPA of 3.00 better and have good character and behavior.  Jr. Beta Club is a part of the National Beta Club Organization.  Each year the club sponsors needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, write letters for the troops, tutor if needed help teachers and office staff.  We take a trip in December to Pigeon Forge for a dinner show, and we take a trip in the spring. The Junior Beta Club has traveled to Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and several places in Tennessee.

Club Sponsors are: Glenda Henderson, Lori Proffitt and Sharon Williamson

The Cosby Builders Club is a Kiwanis Club-sponsored program for middle school aged students, that provides young people the opportunity to help others, serve their school and community, and build a positive future. Our objectives include: to provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community; to develop leadership potential; to
foster development of a strong, moral character; and to encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation. The club motto is: "We Build."  The CBC meets every Wednesday at 7:50 in Dr. Robertson's room, and Mrs. Walton and Dr. Robertson are the co-sponsors.

Scholars Bowl is a fun competitive sport in which the participants use their brain power, rather than physical athleticism, to excel.  The sponsor chooses a team from grades sixth through eight grades.  This is a county-wide competition, whish is usually held after TCAPS.

1st Priority is a student led time of prayer and Bible study. Student's meet in Mrs. Bell's room (121) on Friday morning from 8:00am - 8:15am.  Everyone is welcome!
