Cocke County High School Curriculums

Here's a list of the core curriculum, or required classes, at Cocke County High  School. All students must take these classes, regardless of what path they choose

English 4 credits
Math* 3 credits
Science ** 3 credits
History/ Social Sciences*** 2 credits
Fine Arts 1 credit

*All students are required to pass Algebra I or its equivalent as determined by the State Board of Education. Students on the University Path must pass Algebra I-II and Geometry.

**All students are required to pass one life science (agriscience, biology, or life science,) and one physical science (astronomy, chemistry, earth science, geology, physical science, or principles of technology).

***All students are required to pass United States history, United States government, economics, and either world history or world geography.

College Prep Path

Foreign Language 2 credits (2 years same language)
Fine Arts 1 credit
Elective 10 credits

Technical Path

Specific Technical Major 4 Credit
Electives 9 credits
