Attendance
Good attendance is critical in this class! Students who miss class miss out on the great collaboration, discussion, and instruction that occur in class every day. This cannot be duplicated in handouts!
It is strongly advised that students pair up with a study partner who can fill them in on what they might have missed.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE ATTENDANCE POLICIES! IGNORE THEM AT YOUR PERIL!

If a student is absent it is his/her responsibility to ensure that missed assignments are completed within the required timeframe: |
If you are absent
on the day an
assignment is due, it is due immediately
upon your return.
If an
assignment was made the day you
were absent, you have the same number
of days you were absent to complete the
assignment. (For example, you were
absent on Monday and Tuesday. An
informal essay was assigned to be due on
Tuesday. You must turn in the essay by
3:30 on Friday.)
Long term assignments are due on the
due date regardless of when you were absent
as I give you a great deal of time to complete
them.

DO NOT ask me about make up work during class time, my hall duty, or my lunch time!!! Feel free to see me during my planning period or before/after school. |

Fill out a make up request form and check the calendar in order to schedule make up periods for tests/quizzes missed as these must be completed before or after school. |

Remember that the CCHS Attendance Policy states that all absences require an excuse to be turned in to the attendance office. |

Failure to make up work will result in a failing grade. |
