Student Reminders

Student days begin at 8:30 am and dismiss at 3:15 pm.

Parking hang tags are now available for $12.00.  Be sure to check with the office to receive the proper paperwork.  Officer Cutshaw will be checking parking ID's starting August 22, 2011.

Teen Drivers' License Law
Students under 18 who have 15 unexcused absences in a semester or fail 3 of 4 classes in a semester cannot obtain a drivers' permit or a drivers' license.  Those who already have them must forfeit them!  Each school is REQUIRED to send to the state the names of students who fall into either of these categories.

Saturday School
Saturday School is now being offered to students who need to catch up on missed assignments so they can improve their grades and hopefully pass all their classes.  Students and parents will be notified in advance if Saturday School is required.  The hours are 8:00 - 12:00 and all students meet in the Cocke County High School Library.

Prom Tickets
Prom tickets will go on sale April 2, 2012, for $20.00 each.  Mrs. Tindell and Ms. Miller will be selling tickets.  Students must ID's to purchase tickets.  Students can get ID's from homeroom teachers or the office for $3.00.  If students are on the hold grade card list, they cannot buy tickets until they pay their debt.  All persons who are not CCHS students must have an application approved  by April 12, 2012.  Applications are available in the attendance office, main office, and on the table outside the guidance office.  Tickets will be sold through April 20, 2012.

When purchasing tickets, students need to sign up for a picture time.  See Mrs. Lehto or Mr. Talley to sign up for picture time.  If a student is listed on the "hold grade card list" for any reason, a ticket cannot be purchased until the name is cleared from the list.  Students must show a "current" school ID in order to purchase a ticket; if two tickets are being purchased, ID's are required from both persons.

End of the Year Grade Cards
If you would like your end-of-the-year grade card mailed, bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to the office or bring a dollar, and one will be provided and your grade card will be mailed.

Attention Seniors
Begin checking the scholarship board for current, available scholarships.

Check the Counseling page for Scholarship and Testing Information

If you need transportation to Cocke County High School and the Expo Center on May 23, 2012, for graduation practice, see Mrs. Clevenger in the office SOON so that the administration will know how many need transportation.

Transcripts detailing GPA's, rank, 1st semester grades, and ACT/SAT scores are now available in the counseling office between classes starting February 1, 2012.
